Successful companies value diversity & inclusion…although many don’t know what it is. Many HR professionals and hiring managers shudder at the mere mention of it simply because they’ve heard the “buzz” word, they’re pretty sure it’s the right thing to do, but they have no idea what it looks like, let alone how to implement it. In fact, are you wondering if we even have D & I in the 406?
Of course we do! We will spend this hour talking about the who, what, when, where, why, and how of D & I. The HOW will be an in-depth look at one specific group – our Military. The SHRM Foundation, along with some major partners, developed the Veterans at Work Certificate program for HR professionals, hiring managers, and front-line supervisors.
This multi-faceted program is designed to help you learn the value that skilled veterans bring to the civilian workplace as well as helping employers demonstrate their commitment to attract, hire and retain these talented professionals.
